Our Story
Golden Key Lodge was built over 300 years ago, formerly serving as a saddlery on the upper floor. It stood practically derelict before we rescued it, and it has taken us a few years to restore it to its former glory. Today, it stands as a testament to history, with its original character and appeal lovingly preserved.
Our dedication to excellence extends beyond location, encompassing a seamless blend of historic elegance and contemporary comfort. Explore the local villages and towns dotted across the New Forest. Take the open top hop on hop off bus and see The New Forest in all its glory. Marvel at the thatched cottages and free roaming ponies. A foodie heaven with lots of good restaurants showcasing the local produce.

At Beach Bliss we strive to create an uforgettable experience for our guests just a stones throw to the best blue flag beach in the area in Boscombe, Bournemouth.
One of the key figures in the development of Bournemouth as a resort town was Lewis Tregonwell, who built the first holiday home in the area in 1810. His vision attracted other affluent individuals to build their own residences, and Bournemouth gradually grew as a resort destination. Wealthy visitors began to flock to the area seeking the health benefits of the sea and the countryside.
Today, Bournemouth and Boscombe continue to be popular tourist destinations, known for their sandy beaches, picturesque coastline, and vibrant seaside atmosphere. - We have dual flush in all our toilets
- Our windows are double glazed
- We have eco settings on our washing machine and dishwasher paper towels are from recycled paper
- We use energy efficient goods such as fridge freezer, dishwasher and washing machine
- We don’t have air conditioning to reduce energy consumption
- We provide refillable shampoo and soap dispensers using organic, biodegradable products free of micro-beads
